How will BLAZE TEAM help people?

I have made it extremely clear that we don’t believe in counseling to help people. Neither do we rely on “profesionals” to help people with serious problems. To most this sounds like a rediculous statement. This sounds like a crazy man without any sense, running down the street screaming a bunch of …… nonsense. I know that is how some experience it. We have been raised in a city and around people that believe that people with serious troubles needs profesional help. I beg to differ.

The word of God makes it extremely clear that, as believers, there  is  only one way to become mature. Look like Christ, that is.

Eph 4:11  And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,
Eph 4:12  to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,

In these two verses it is clear that Paul is talking about three groups of people. These might overlap and only the roles have been addressed. These three groups of people are Five fold, Saints and the Body of Christ. Now, they do overlap, becauase all of them are part of the Body of Christ. Yet, Paul is specifically speaking about the who should invest in whom. This is a clear picture. Five fold have to equip the saints (so they can do the work of ministry). Is the 5 fold supposed to do the work of ministry in that specific role? NO. The work of ministry must be done by the Saints in the Body of Christ. Now, what should be the result of the ministry of the saints?

Eph 4:13  until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
Eph 4:14  so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
Eph 4:15  Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
Eph 4:16  from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

If that is not a clear picture of how healthy the body should be because of the minsitry of the saints, I don’t know what is? You need to realize that God designed the body to minister to the body. He designed a system where multiple people simply do their part, and thereby absolute maturity is achieved. To most, this makes no sense, simply because we have different foundations.

Let’s take a look at the great commision.

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Mat 28:19  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

We should make disciples. Who? We, the whole body fitly joint together. How? How do we actually help people that might range from the worst demon possessed people to the average jocks? How do we allow the body to be so effective to help these people without bringing in proffesionals? The key in my explination is found in the word “observe”

The word obeserve has a lot of meanings but only one that really helps us out in this situation. To keep your eye upon. Keeping a watchful eye. Seeing truth. How will we help people? Simply by ignoring where they are but addressing the things God has told us would cause the right fruit. We have to realize that every single person we will ever have the privilege to help is a result of the person he or she is. Whatever problems they have, or don’t think they have is a simple result of everything in their lives. It will not help us to fix the problems, but simply to help us show them, what the right foundation should be. We have to teach them by showing them (so they can observe) the right foundation. The truth. The fundamental!

Let’s be practical. Here is a person with a obvious problem of demon possession. The person came to Christ and is currently struggeling with demons and even wicked thaughts and intentions. How do you help such a person. Well, firstly by helping them understand the spiritual world. Then by helping them understand God and what His relationship is towards us. The role sin has in the working of the supernatural and obviously the how authority works. The things we should align into our lives and the things we are in CHRIST without any thing that we can add to it. If a person comes to Christ, there is NO WAY that you can permanently make a difference in His life without showing him the foundations and DNA he needs to have. If God starts doing these things in His life, simply because he or she understands it, there will be no way he or she will ever be captured in demonic holds ever again.

From there on we simply need to show the people what things God designed as sources to feed us. We need to help peopel to observe the right relationships, how prayer is to be used, what the purpose of corporate gathering are and so on.

You see, we are not going to counsel people on what they need to do in an attempt to make them better people. We are simply going to show them the Christian life as observed by BLAZE TEAM. We will show them what seasons they go through, and what they need to give attention to in those seasons. We will show them what God holds as IMPORTANT during your life. We will also help them to discover all the things God has built into them to make them effective in their own purposes.

You see, we are simply going to show each person the blueprint of what should be, and as they observe it, they will be changed by the truth that will drench them. They will be free from the power of sin because they understand the power of faith and the work of sin. I can keep on writing about it, but the reality is that there is no way people can ever be the same if we simple teach them how to observe the truth. If you didn’t get it, it is the simpe things of SEED, ROOTS ,TREE TRUNK and BRANCHES

It will be impossible for anyone not to become a “violent outburst of passion”.

Counseling and all other types of profesional ministry does not get down to the reality of living life as a believer. That is what we need to do. Starting from the level of Elders (smallgroup leaders – in old terms) we need to ensure that all our people get the blueprint of a believer in their hearts. God has given us a great kickstart, let’s observe the truth!

LOL! WOW … mmmmm… so what are you going to do when a member of your church goes through a hurtful divorce, or losses someone in death?!

“Let’s be practical. Here is a person with a obvious problem of demon possession. The person came to Christ and is currently struggeling with demons and even wicked thaughts and intentions. i also take it that you do not believe in casting out demons?! so what, do they just leave?!

Yeshua commanded his followers to cast out demons
    read mat 10:8

so where is the love?! hey im just askin…

but it seems a wolf is in our midst…

“For in as much as there are wolves amongst the sheep,
Hiding, lurking, waiting to devour and scatter the flock,
so are there sheep with open eyes.
Wolves will be found and ultimately, meet their fate.”

Your first question is answered in the post.
Your second question – Yes, I do believe in casting out demons. I believe in it more than ever before. Yet, it is not for the profesional. It is for all believers, as you quoted so fervently.
Your third question – Inside our hearts.

Please make useful comments and do not quote things out of the post, it wastes space. Thanks

If I look at this from your commend “but it seems a wolf is in our midst… “For in as much as there are wolves amongst the sheep, Hiding, lurking, waiting to devour and scatter the flock, so are there sheep with open eyes. Wolves will be found and ultimately, meet their fate.” Wolf Hunter ”
Looks like you are on a mission to judge churches/peoples, and the name that you gave yourself…. I truly hope you are IN CHRIST doing what you suppost to do (bring new souls into God’s Kingdom)STOP judging and do what the WORD (what you know so well) say you must do. Time is passing and souls are LOST, what do you do for the Kingdom, exept looking for wolfes….? or are you maybe one of those that you describe in above sentence of your’s. God is our JUDGE!

Just a comment from an ex-counselor … I’ve been a counselor for close to 11 years and have managed to be diagnosed with compassion fatigue and Post-Traumatic Stress due to my job. And the main reason for that is that a counselor has to make a diagnosis, draw up a treatment plan and also sustain the patient. Who is doing the work? The counselor. Who is taking the responsibility? The counselor. Who gets the blame if the “treatment plan” does not work? The counselor.

During this whole fixing-the-problem process, does the patient take responsibility? Let’s be honest – no. We are living in a consumer-driven world where people are looking for quick fixes, where they don’t have to work hard and take responsibility. And sometimes we even think that God is a vending machine, I deposit my prayer and wait for the solution to pop out. I might sound angry and bitter, but I have learned the hard way …

When I finally realised that I cannot make people change, I cannot make people better and that people struggle with the “taking responsibility” concept did I start searching for the truth. I had to look for the truth because I was also sick and struggle to rid myself of the burn-out etc. And I received my share of counseling for that :-)

The simple truth is that God sets people free, God is the healer, He changes people and the more we change and become like Christ the more all the issues fall away. If you are not prepared to submit and surrender under Him this cannot happen. And that is the sad truth.

I truly believe that Eph 4:16, “from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” works because I have seen it working. I have experienced SEED, ROOTS, TREETRUNK and BRANCHES change my life and I know it can work for everyone. But you have to open yourself up for God to do that work and stop rebelling against Him.

Guys, I have been rebelling and controlling myself and everything around me for too long and I’ve paid an expensive price. It is not worthwhile, make sure of your calling and election. Know that there is only one plan and that is God’s plan ~ a perfect plan. Look at your Fruit, make sure of your rebirth and be available to God …

Make use of your accountability partner, ensure you have a mentor, attend the growth sessions and opportunities available at your church and get involve, actively, in the Body of Christ.

One of heroes(Glenn Packiam) made this comment a while ago, “truth must be more than a correct proposition…it must have something to do with correct living or expression”.

I choose to live in Truth and by quiet obedience and long faithfulness.

Annalise… it is very clear that you have had some great, “revelationary” experiences and I appreciate your boldness in what you had to say.

I think you have a lot to offer the body of Christ!

This is the topic that will have to stir our minds. We need to grasp that there is nothing that will turn our hearts, like the simple truth. I think it is said best by the Word of God

Joh 8:32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” esv

The context of that verse, is to be free from sin, is it not? If you know the truth it will surely deliver you of your enslavement to sin, and furthermore…….

Joh 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. esv

Just an interesting angle. We will be free in deed, not just in mind!

If you know the Son, you will be really, truly free.
