Core Values: Part 3

Finally, the last two Core Values: INTEGRITY and TEAM.

INTEGRITY:

What is integrity? It is incorruptibility, soundness, and quality of state of being complete or undivided. R.B. Thieme, Jr. gives the following description of integrity: wholeness of character, consistency of word and deed, uncompromising adherence to a code of values. Christian integrity comes from living by the Word of God.” How we live reveals the core of who we are. Integrity has to do with the consistency of what we do with who we claim to be (Peter J. Blackburn). Having read this I just once again realise that this includes all levels of our lives; home, work, play, church … we should not be Sunday Christians … do you play by the Word of God, do you work by the Word of God, do you shop by the Word of God? I can go on and on J

Jesus Christ is the only fully integrated person who has EVER lived. Hebrew 4 ;15 describe Him as: tempted in every way that we are, but He did not sin. Hey, unlike us, he had absolutely nothing to hide J

Titus 2:6-8, “Likewise exhort the young men to be sober-minded, 7in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, 8sound speech that cannot be            condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.” (NKJ)

1 Tim 4:15-16,”Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” (NKJ)

I want to live a life worthy of the Godly calling I have received (Eph. 4:1). I’m constantly thinking of the legacy I’m leaving behind … will people say of me what was said about Job?

Job 2:3, “Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”(NKJ)

TEAM:

Jose Gomez, Jr. made this interesting comment: “That’s what makes good movie ~ totally different characters all coming together to join in a marvellous adventure with a victorious ending. I can’t help but think of the team Jesus had in His disciples. Twelve different men, from different backgrounds and occupations ~all destined to fulfil one mission.”  Wow, what a team!!

I’ve found a few definitions for team: to yoke or join a team, bring together diverse elements and create a productive team. I was wondering what the definitions of yoke are, and found these interesting bits, “a wooden crosspiece that is fastened over the necks of two animals and attached to a plow or cart that they pull in unison.  (pl. same or yokes) a pair of yoked animals.  A frame fitting over the neck and shoulders of a person, used for carrying pails or baskets. Something that represents a bond between two parties: the yoke of marriage.”  Wow, this has something to do with unity, sharing a load, a bond between people, something that links us together … bringing together all our gifts, talents, abilities and forming a productive team of people working productively and effectively towards a common goal ~ God’s plan.

God is asking us to unite together in order to accomplish His plan, He asks us to partner with Him. He asks us to fix our eyes on Him and work together at His command. A better team leader you will find nowhere else J

John 17:22-23, “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 “I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” (NKJ)

Are you willing to be part of a team?

Can you work inter-dependant?

Can you lead a team?

What type of leader are you?

Can you submit under a leader?

I pray that God will continue to mould, shape and refine you, I pray for a servant’s heart and a willingness to put others’ interests before your own, and ask God to bring together a BLAZE TEAM who is committed to loving Him and each other.

This is just in short what our Core Values are. They are constantly being developed as God share more and more with us … and as we continue to grow and allow Him to speak into our lives.

Keep on reading here, because we will give individual attention on each one of these Core Values.

Blessings
