20 August 2011 – egte christene
Rom 2:25-29

James 5:16 Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.

Dis maklik om blaam te sit op ander vir die kerk se toestand, uiteindelik is dit net ek wat dit kan na myself kyk.

How can you say you love me but you don’t pray for me?
How can you say your my brother but you dont cover me ( but bite me)?

When Jesus dwelled on earth he called believers to walk with Him. Mostly these disciples just walked with Him. They watched Him do great things. They sacrificed everything, extracted themselves from the world to live with Jesus. They seperated themsselves from the world. Completely laying down everything for Jesus.

All of this sounds quite spectacular and some of us might even think of this as the ultimate Christian life. Sounds like really great Christians.

Here is the problem.

They primarily did nothing. They held back. They did little to actually advance the Kingdom. They mostly watched what He did. They gave bad advice, bad information and even bad follow-up. Hey…….. That sounds like church people.
They little they actually did was not long lasting and deffinately not out of passion. Even when they did some things like driving demons and waking him up in the boat and chopping off ears they had to be rebuked. Now, isn’t that a great picture of what we see in Church today?

Now, the truth of the matter remains that Christ left these uneffective self-willed followers to become the leaders that would transform the world they lived in. The same people that waited on God to do something became the ones tldoing the miracles! They became the men and women that became the showcase of God’s power and influence. They became the movers and shakers!

It is time for us as believers to move away from sitting, waiting and watching. We need to be the ones that people sit and wait around. We need to stop asking God to still the storms, because we need tocal it.

We are the ones that needs to turn the tide. It is up to us!

Arise man and woman of God.

Topic for the following weeks

The principle seems simple enough but for some reason it remains difficult to practically achieve.

Being in one mind with your spouse seems difficult enough, but realizing that you are part of a specific body that should aim for the same goal almost seems beyond reach.

What does it mean to be of one mind?

How can we be of one accord?

Is this really more important than my daily affairs?

What is the reality around it?

More of these questions will be answered in our services in the coming weeks. I want to urge you to become part of what BLAZE TEAM is doing in these days. It is always funny for me to see believers entangled in the matters of future.

Someone once said. There are those that change the future and those who speculate on what it can become.

What type of person are you.

Join BLAZE TEAM as we enter the frontier of changing the future by engaging God’s plan for this wonderful country and our wonderful world!

Pro 18:20-24

In proverbs we all know that the Bible is clear that your words produce fruit. It took me a long time to realize that my stomach (desire) will be filled by the words I speak.

This litterally means that what I say will meet my desire. Thus, if I speak about how bad things is around me…. I will have it.

We encountered a term “sucky wife”. Simply explained…. If I talk about my sucky wife, my life will be filled with a sucky wife.

Stop speaking what you see infront of you, and start speaking what you believe God whants you to have. Speak what you believe God has promised you and you will eat His promises!

The reason why we fear poverty is because it causes a lack. Lack of honour. Lack of respect. Lack of joy.

For this reason many believers can not give, when it seems like it might lead them to poverty. If they feel the giving will cause poverty.

God wants us to stop being the object of a miracle and rather be the source.

So many times we as believers constantly ask God for the miracles in our lives. This is not necesarily a problem, but because the above mentality (ignoring problems) we can never be the source of miracles. We should be the ones by which the world receives the miracle. We should be the ones showing the miracles to people.

We should be praying for the sick, so they will be healed, not be in the que for healing. Healthy lifestyle and God’s healing years ago should keep us out of the line, not constantly in the line.

We should be in front praying for the sick, broken hearted, deaf, blind and poor people.

WE ARE THE ONES that have CHRIST. He is living in us. Instead we look just as empty as the world, at times. Constantly surviving! It is the mindset of poverty.

The attitude of self-focus is a product of the poverty mentality.
